Hollywood Records & Marvel Music have released the first track from the soundtrack of the Disney+ original series MOON KNIGHT. Milan Records has released the original motion picture soundtrack to AFTER YANG, featuring an original score by Aska Matsumiya and a contribution from Ryuichi Sakamoto. The film is A24’s newest science fiction drama; taking place in a near future: when his young daughter’s beloved companion – an android named Yang – malfunctions, Jake (Colin Farrell) searches for a way to repair him. Inspired by the film’s futuristic setting and subject matter, Matsumiya utilized A.I. technology throughout her scoring process, feeding both her own compositions and Sakamoto’s contribution into a special A.I.-driven software developed by Luke Fischbeck (of Lucky Dragons) that generated infinite musical variations.

Roman Molino Dunn Scores Hit Thai-American Sci-Fi Rom-Com AI LOVE YOU

Varèse Sarabande Celebrates the Return of SCREAM With Bonus-Filled Collection Of Marco Beltrami’s Music From First Four Films with 4-LP and 6-CD sets

As the latest installment of SCREAM lands in theaters this winter, Varèse Sarabande revisits Marco Beltrami’s masterful scores from the horror franchise’s first four films with SCREAM: Original Motion Picture Soundtracks… Craven was impressed with Beltrami’s work and took a chance on the young composer. SCREAM would mark the first of seven collaborations between the two men. Beltrami’s first project was the film’s opening scene. “It had this over-the-top, almost operatic nature to it…. It was very dynamic. That was the mode I followed with the rest of the score,” he recalls, adding that his unfamiliarity with the genre played to his advantage. “I viewed the movie from a very innocent standpoint, taking the images not in any jaded way but truly petrified.”

Milan Records announces the release of the English Edition Soundtrack album from Oscar-nominated filmmaker Mamoru Hosoda’s critically acclaimed film BELLE. LOST IN SPACE: Season 3 Soundtrack Released – Music By Chris Lennertz

Milan Records has released the third season soundtrack for the Netflix science fiction series, LOST IN SPACE. Based on the 1960s sci-fi series, the Robinson family must come together to survive after being stranded light years from their destination. Christopher Lennertz (SUPERNATURAL, AGENT CARTER, THE BOYS) has composed the entire series scores as well as the show’s new title theme; both affectionately integrate elements of John Williams’ music from the classic original TV series. “There’s a lot of music per episode, and there are ten hour-long episodes, so it was close to 500 minutes of score,” Lennertz said of scoring the show’s first season in 2018. “We knew from the beginning that we weren’t going to be able to do all of that with orchestra, just budgetarily speaking. We ended up with a little over 200 minutes – that’s over three hours of music – with a 50+ piece orchestra, plus overdubs, so it probably ended up being sixty players at Abbey Road in London…”

The series was launched as part of executive producer Alex Kurtzman’s expanded Star Trek Universe, with the Hageman brothers were set as creators and showrunners. Nickelodeon ordered two seasons of Prodigy that April. The series uses computer animation, differing from previous Star Trek animation, and the show is intended for younger audiences than the rest of the franchise.

Dragon’s Domain Records, to be distributed through buysoundtrax.com, presents the original motion picture soundtrack release of THE DEEP ONES, featuring music composed by Richard Band for the 2020 horror film directed by Chad Ferrin, based on the writings of H.P. Lovecraft. Composer Band’s history with H.P. Netflix anime series YASUKE Soundtrack Album Debuts Tomorrow – Score by Flying Lotus

A digital soundtrack album will be released tomorrow, with a vinyl edition scheduled for later this year. The album features selection of the original music from the show composed by Flying Lotus (aka musical artist Steven Ellison), who is also one of the executive producers of the project. Brian Tyler’s 2010 Score for LEGO UNIVERSE Finally Gets a Soundtrack Release

From DVolution Music comes the premiere soundtrack release of Brian Tyler’s score to the video game LEGO UNIVERSE, which he composed in 2010. LEGO Universe was the company’s first ever massively multiplayer online game launched in October 2010, with a soundtrack composed by Brian Tyler and additional music by John Harman and Richard Dekkard. The soundtrack to LEGO Universe was the first video game soundtrack composed by Tyler. It was recorded with the Slovak National Symphony Orchestra, but due to scheduling constraints, Tyler ended up overseeing the entire recording live from a studio in Los Angeles using video and audio streaming between the countries.

“The first film I scored was FULL CIRCLE (aka THE HAUNTING OF JULIA) which starred Mia Farrow and is still in the BFI top ten for best score for horror films,” Towns said. “I felt that film was more of a dark scary mystery. RAWHEAD REX on the other hand was clearly a horror film 100%. I visited the film set in Ireland during the filming to take in the atmosphere and meet the actors after which I decided to record the music at CTS in London with a sixty piece orchestra plus electronics. I have always orchestrated my own work and had a wild time with RAWHEAD which is what I really love doing.”

Among Dragon’s Domain Records’ April releases is an updated soundtrack to GHOST WARRIOR, the 1984 movie about a noble Samurai, frozen in ice in 1552, awakened by science in 1984 where he can only defend himself at swordpoint after he runs afoul of a local street gang and, ultimately, the LAPD. Composed by Richard Band during his seminal orchestral scoring days of the early ‘80s, the score is a fusion of symphonic orchestral music (performed by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Shirley Walker), ethnic Japanese flutes and percussion, and an array of unusual percussion instruments invented and constructed by early 20th Century American composer Harry Partch. And Fredric Ensign Teetsel’s orchestral score to Roger Corman’s 1990 Poe adaptation, THE HAUNTING OF MORELLA provides the film with a powerfully period-supporting orchestral score.

’80s Euro Horror CANNIBAL APOCALYPSE Soundtrack Released on CD

The film’s score benefits from the funky rhythms, harshly declarative keyboard statements, intricate patterns of progressive rock, disco, and romantic jazz composed and conducted by Alessandro (aka Alexander) Blonksteiner (1930-1985), one of only three scores he composed.

Chuck Cirino’s Dinosaur Island Soundtrack among latest CDs from Dragon’s Domain

1994’s DINOSAUR ISLAND was directed by Jim Wynorski and Fred Olen Ray, financed by Roger Corman, and distributed straight to video by New World Home Video. This album features the music composed by Chuck Cirino for the fantasy-comedy about a group of soldiers stranded on a remote island occupied by scantily-clad amazons and hungry dinosaurs. The soundtrack appears on CD for the first time.

The 2019 horror movie HOAX features music composed and performed by Alan Howarth for a story about an investigative searching the remote Colorado wilderness after a group of young campers are brutally murdered by what may or may not be Bigfoot—only to discover that they are now being hunted by something that isn’t quite human but smarter than most savage predators.

The third release is a collection of notable Australian film music with Anthony I. Ginnane Presents Classic Australian Film Scores From The 70’s And 80’s. Previously released on compact disc by 1M1 Records in 2008 and very scarcely distributed, Dragon’s Domain Records is excited to bring this collection screaming back from the past. The album is an excellent sampler of great Australian film music from this period.
