MONSTERLAND: Gustavo Santaolalla Scores Hulu Series

Lakeshore Records has released the soundtrack to Monsterland, featuring score by two-time Academy Award winner Gustavo Santaolalla (BABEL, BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN). The 28-track album is released in tandem with tonight’s anthology premiere on Hulu. The score “evokes elements of horror, science fiction, and gore in creatively unnerving fashion—subtly twisted orchestration, unsettling electronics and echoing instrumentation all come together to striking effect.”

MONSTERLAND is an 8-episode anthology series based on the collection of stories from Nathan Ballingrud’s North American Lake Monsters. Encounters with mermaids, fallen angels, and other strange beasts drive broken people to desperate acts in an attempt to repair their lives, ultimately showing there is a thin line between man and monster.
