Premiere Release of Jack Marshall’s soundtrack to “MUNSTER GO HOME”

Among La-La Land’s new September soundtrack releases is a limited edition of the musical score to MUNSTER, GO HOME (1966). The label, in association with Universal Studios presents the tenth title within the acclaimed Universal Pictures Film Music Classics Collection. This limited edition CD release of Marshall’s original motion picture score to the 1966 big-screen, feature-film debut of the beloved TV series hit THE MUNSTERS, starring Fred Gwynne, Yvonne DeCarlo and Al Lewis, and directed by Earl Bellamy, marks the world premiere release of this music in any format.

MUNSTER, GO HOME was produced immediately after the television series completed filming for its original run, and included the original cast with the exception of Marilyn, who was played by Debbie Watson replacing Pat Priest from the series.

With Marshall’s score to THE MUNSTERS TV series (1964-66) a vital part of the show’s massive appeal—his main titles had already become a thing of legend—it made perfect sense that he score MUNSTER GO HOME, once again bringing his irresistible swinging version of mock-macabre… except this time, taking full advantage of a larger orchestra recorded in stereo. The result is a full-bodied, joyful musical exploration of THE MUNSTERS that finally shines here in its world premiere debut in a limited edition of 3000 units.

Produced, mixed, edited and mastered by Mike Matessino, this special edition features exclusive liner notes written by author Jeff Bond and delightfully ghoulish art direction by Jim Titus.

Also announced by the label is The Quinn Martin Collection Vol. 3 – THE STREETS OF SAN FRANCISCO, a 2-CD Set featuring music by Patrick Williams remastered from original Quinn Martin Productions elements, presenting music from the pilot score and nine additional episode scores (200 copies ltd edition), and John Powell’s score from the 1999 big-screen romantic comedy FORCES OF NATURE, starring Sandra Bullock and Ben Affleck; a delightful cocktail of live strings, percussion and piano, Powell’s score is an intoxicating breeze of edgy romantic fun that marks its world premiere official release with this CD presentation (1000 copies ltd edition).

These releases start shipping on September 22, and are available to order at www.lalalandrecords.com
