Alan Silvestri’s THE WITCHES Now Available On WaterTower Music

– Randall D. Larson

A new collaboration between director Robert Zemeckis and composer Alan Silvestri is certainly cause for celebration. Silvestri has scored the majority of Zemeckis’ films—at least 18 of them since 1984’s ROMANCING THE STONE, including such memorable films as the BACK TO THE FUTURE trilogy, FORREST GUMP, CONTACT, CASTAWAY and THE WALK. Silvestri as also scored such iconic blockbusters as three of the for Marvel’s THE AVENGERS movies, CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER, Steven Spielberg’s READY PLAYER ONE, PREDATOR, THE ABYSS, and much, much more. Alan Silvestri has indeed blazed an innovative trail with his exciting and melodic scores, winning the applause of Hollywood and movie audiences the world over.

Therefore, film music followers and Alan Silvestri fans can celebrate—and enjoy an early Halloween—with the release of Warner Bros. Pictures and Robert Zemeckis’s diabolically and wicked reimagining of Roald Dahl’s THE WITCHES, which airs exclusively on HBO Max in the U.S. and hits theatres around the world beginning October 28.

Today, WaterTower Music has released the soundtrack to the film THE WITCHES, featuring the music from the acclaimed, Grammy Award-winning, Oscar-nominated Silvestri.
