Composer Christopher Young Reunites with Director Sam Raimi for the Quibi Original Series 50 STATES OF FRIGHT

50 states of fright poster IMDBAward-winning composer Christopher Young (HELLRAISER, SPIDER-MAN 3, PET SEMATARY) reteams with director Sam Raimi (SPIDER-MAN, DRAG ME TO HELL, EVIL DEAD) for the Quibi original series 50 STATES OF FRIGHT. The horror anthology, executive produced by Raimi, features the scariest stories from every state in the country. Young wrote the original main title and scored the episode directed by Raimi, “The Golden Arm.” 50 STATES OF FRIGHT marks the eighth collaboration in 20 years between Raimi and Young, which includes the Raimi directed films THE GIFT, SPIDER-MAN 2 and 3, and DRAG ME TO HELL.

“The Golden Arm” is a three-part episode from 50 STATES OF FRIGHT with screenplay by the Michigan-born brothers Sam Raimi and Ivan Raimi. “The Golden Arm” features Rachel Brosnahan (THE MARVELOUS MRS. MAISEL) as a Michigan woman who loses her arm in a tree accident and has it replaced by a golden arm. She becomes obsessed with her gold arm, even as it is slowly killing her. She requests to be buried with the arm. After her death, her husband digs up the arm to sell it to pay off his debts, unleashing new horrors!

In addition to Christopher Young being one of the first film composers to score a Quibi series, he is also the composer of the first Chinese film, THE MONKEY KING, directed by Pou-Soi Cheang, to break the Worldwide Box Office, at the time surpassing THE WOLF OF WALL STREET and FROZEN.  Young scored the film with an 80-piece orchestra and choir.
