Second Theme By Ramin Djawadi From HOUSE OF THE DRAGON Released – Full Soundtrack still forthcoming
WaterTower Music has released Ramin Djawadi’s “Protector of the Realm” today, the second piece of music available from the HOUSE OF THE DRAGON series – the prequel to GAME OF THRONES which is streaming on HBO and HBO Max since August 21. The music was created by acclaimed Emmy Award- Winning and Grammy ® nominated composer Ramin Djawadi, who wrote the popular musical scores from GAME OF THRONES, and HBO’s WESTWORLD. Djawadi’s cue “The Prince That Was Promised” was released as a single last August (listen to it here). “Protector of the Realm” is performed for the film soundtrack by the The Czech Film Orchestra and The Czech Film Choir Orchestra.
Based on George R.R. Martin’s Fire & Blood, the series, which is set 200 years before the events of GAME OF THRONES, tells the story of House Targaryen. The series was renewed for a second season shortly after its premiere last August.
Djawadi’s “Protector of the Realm” can be purchased from Amazon; the full album of HOUSE OF THE DRAGON music remains forthcoming, likely following the series first season finale on October 23rd.
