New Genre Soundtracks from Dragon’s Domain
Dragon’s Domain Records presents a new release featuring newly recorded music from MASTERS OF HORROR, to be distributed through buysoundtrax.com. MASTERS OF HORROR includes music composed by Richard Band (RE-ANIMATOR, FROM BEYOND, TROLL) from the 2005 – 2007 series created by director Mick Garris from three episodes, presented on two discs: from the first season, ‘Dreams In The Witch House’ and from the second season, ‘Valerie On The Stairs’ and ‘The Washingtonians.’
MASTERS OF HORROR is a limited edition release of 500 units, digitally mastered by James Nelson at Digital Outland, featuring liner notes written by director Mick Garris. CDs are expected to begin shipping the week of January 10, 2022. CD purchase includes digital download – 24 Bit Wav, MP3 and digital PDF. The first 50 copies ordered through the buysoundtrax.com website will be autographed by the composer at no extra charge.
Also announced by the label is THE CRAIG SAFAN COLLECTION, Volume 1, featuring music composed by Craig Safan from two projects in his extensive filmography, for the first time. The collection comprises TIMESTALKERS (1987), in which a twentieth-century college professor (William Devane) is sought out by a woman of the twenty-sixth century (Lauren Hutton) to help her locate a power-crazed scientist (Klaus Kinski) who has left the future to change a significant event in the past in order to alter the events of their future. The manhunt stretches from the year 2586 back to 1886. The second film on the collection is DIE LAUGHING (1980), which tells the story of a San Francisco cab driver (Robbie Benson) and an aspiring singer (Linda Grovenor) who become tangled up in a plot to kidnap a monkey that has memorized a scientific formula with the potential to destroy the world. They are chased all over the city by people who are trying to get their hands on the formula. THE CRAIG SAFAN COLLECTION, Volume 1 is expected to begin shipping the week of January 10th, 2022. The first 50 copies sold through the website will include a booklet autographed by composer Craig Safan.
