Teaser Trailer Dropped for Cronenberg’s new CRIMES OF THE FUTURE – Howard Shore set to Score

Starring Viggo Mortensen, Léa Seydoux, and Kristen Stewart, David Cronenberg’s new film CRIME OF THE FUTURE (no relation to his 1970 film of the same name) has a scheduled released date of May 2022 at Cannes, where it is an official competition selection, May 25, 2022 to theaters in France, and June 2022 to theaters in the USA.

The movie is a deep dive into the not-so-distant future in which humankind is learning to adapt to its synthetic surroundings. This evolution moves humans beyond their natural state and into a metamorphosis, which alters their biological makeup. Their bodies undergo new transformations and mutations. With his partner Caprice (Léa Seydoux), Saul Tenser (Viggo Mortensen), celebrity performance artist, publicly showcases the metamorphosis of his organs in avant-garde performances. Timlin (Kristen Stewart), an investigator from the National Organ Registry, obsessively tracks their movements, which is when a mysterious group is revealed… Their mission – to use Saul’s notoriety to shed light on the next phase of human evolution.

Cronenberg’s usual composer Howard Shore is scoring the movie.
