THE CURSED Showing In Theaters Feb 18 – Score by Robin Foster

THE CURSED is an American-French horror film directed and written by Sean Ellis (ANTHROPOID, METRO MANILLA), and starring Boyd Holbrook, Kelly Reilly, Alistair Petrie, Roxane Duran, and Áine Rose Daly. The film premiered at the 2021 Sundance Film Festival under the title EIGHT FOR SILVER; when LD Entertainment purchased the film last January, the title was changed to THE CURSED.
Composer Robin Foster (UNTOGETHER, ANTHROPOID, METRO MANILLA) has scored the film. An unnamed reviewer for filmupdates at Sundance cited the film being film being “aided by a brilliant score courtesy of Robin Foster,” while Chris Bumbray at JoBlo.com noted the film’s “score by Robin Foster that hits some John Carpenter-style notes.” Sample some of Foster’s film and other work on his Bandcamp Page.
THE CURSED is scheduled to be released to United States theaters starting February 18, 2022.
Synopsis: In rural 19th-century France, a mysterious, possibly supernatural menace threatens a small village. John McBride, a pathologist, comes to town to investigate the danger – and exorcise some of his own demons in the process.
