Tim Williams Scores BAD SISTERS for Apple TV
BAD SISTERS (originally titled EMERALD) is an upcoming dark comedy thriller television series created by Sharon Horgan for Apple TV+. Set between London and Dublin, it is based on the Flemish series CLAN, which was created by Malin-Sarah Gozin. A delicious blend of both dark comedy and thriller, BAD SISTERS follows the lives of the Garvey sisters, who are bound together by the premature death of their parents and a promise to always protect one another.
Filmed in Ireland, the series stars Sharon Horgan, Anne-Marie Duff (SUFFRAGETTE, THE SALISBURY POISONINGS), Eva Birthistle (BROOKLYN, THE LAST KINGDOM), Sarah Greene (FRANK OF IRELAND, DUBLIN MURDERS), Eve Hewson (BEHIND HER EYES, THE LUMINARIES), and Claes Bang (DRACULA). The series is directed by Dearbhla Walsh, Josephine Bornebusch, and Rebecca Gatward.
British composer Tim Williams has created the 10-episode series’ score. His distinctive music has accompanied many screen productions including the BBC film adaptation of Roald Dahl’s ESIO TROT, the hit Channel 4 series SHAMELESS and ACKLEY BRIDGE, HBO’s ENTOURAGE, and ITV’s epic period drama JERICHO. His musical The Grinning Man opened in London’s West End in Dec 2017 and became an instant hit across the board; Tim co-wrote the music and lyrics in collaboration with Marc Teitler.
The first two episodes of BAD SISTERS are set to premiere on 19 August 2022 on Apple TV+.
