Henry Jackman Scoring Marvel’s THE FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER
Composer Henry Jackman (SKULL ISLAND, X-MEN: FIRST CLASS, JUMANJI: WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE, WRECK-IT-RALPH) has recently been scoring Marvel Studios’ upcoming Disney+ original series THE FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER. The six-episode show stars Anthony Mackie (as Sam Wilson, aka the Falcon), Sebastian Stan (as Bucky Barnes, aka the Winter Soldier) Daniel Brühl (as Sokovian terrorist Baron Helmut Zemo, who was responsible for the Avengers’ breakup in CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR, and Emily VanCamp (as Sharon Carter, former S.H.I.E.L.D. agent and Peggy Carter’s niece).
The film follows Sam Wilson (aka The Falcon) who, after being handed the mantle of Captain America at the end of AVENGERS: ENDGAME (2019), teams up with Bucky Barnes (aka The Winter Soldier) in a worldwide adventure that puts their abilities to the test as they fight the anarchist group the Flag-Smashers.
Henry Jackson previously scored CAPTAIN AMERICA: WINTER SOLDIER and CAPTAIN AMERICA CIVIL WAR, so he is definitely qualified to bring his talents (and, likely, his previous themes) to the new series.
The new series is scheduled to premiere on March 19, 2021 on Disney+, and will be part of Phase Four of the MCU.
