Elvira’s Haunted Hills Soundtrack LP Announced – Music by Eric Allaman
Enjoy The Ride Records and Elvira, Mistress of the Dark, in conjunction with Queen “B” Productions, have announced the release of the soundtrack to 2001’s ELVIRA’S HAUNTED HILLS, on vinyl for the very first time. The original motion picture score is composed by Eric Allaman (ANGEL III: THE FINAL CHAPTER, DOWN TWISTED, MUTANT LEAGUE, DANTE’S COVE, and a former member of the electronic duo Berlin Game). The original soundtrack CD, released in 2001, has been long out of print and sought after by Elvira fans for years.
ELVIRA’S HAUNTED HILLS was actress Cassandra Peterson’s 2001 direct-to-video follow-up to the 1988 theatrical release ELVIRA: MISTRESS OF THE DARK. Like its predecessor, HAUNTED HILLS offers another double entendre-laden, campy adventure, this time paying tribute to Roger Corman’s Edgar Allan Poe adaptations and Hammer Studios’ expansive British horror library. Allaman’s soundtrack, performed by the Russian State Symphony Cinema Orchestra, evokes those references, but for this new release, he re-sequenced the tracks from the original release into what he and Peterson consider the “optimal” listening experience, curating the tracklist in sequential order for single LP.
This release of the ELVIRA’S HAUNTED HILLS soundtrack LP is the score’s first time available on vinyl. A limited edition reissue remastered for vinyl, the album, includes “Le Music Hall,” performed by Elvira, and 20 tracks of Allaman’s score.
The front cover retains the film’s original artwork, but also features new back cover artwork created by the Enjoy The Ride Records Team. The vinyl album comes in a variety of disc colors – including Black & White Elvira Swirl, Clear With Spider Web Swirl, Black & Orange Swirl, and Blue with Black Smoke – all of which are in limited quantities from Enjoy The Ride and other, exclusive, retailers.
