Christopher Young to Score New PET SEMATARY Film
Horror genre expert and all-around Hollywood film music maestro Christopher Young (SPIDER-MAN 3, HELLRAISER, GHOST RIDER, HELLRAISER, THE GRUDGE) will score the forthcoming new film adaptation of Stephen King’s 1983 horror novel PET SEMATARY. The film stars Jason Clarke, Amy Seimetz, John Lithgow, Jeté Laurence and Hugo & Lucas Lavoie. The movie follows a young family who, after moving to a rural home, discover they are living next to a creepy pet cemetery endowed with powers to reanimate whatever is buried on its grounds. Directorial team of Kevin Kölsch & Dennis Widmyer (STARRY EYES, HOLIDAYS) take the helm from an original screenplay by Jeff Buhler (NIGHTFLYERS, JACOB’S LADDER). Lorenzo di Bonaventura (TRANSFORMERS, THE MEG, RED) and Mark Vahradian (RED, DEEPWATER HORIZON) are producing. The original 1989 film based on King’s novel was directed by subsequent Academy ward-winning director Mary Lambert (PET SEMATARY 2, THE ATTIC), which was scored by Elliot Goldenthal. Paramount Pictures is scheduled to release the new PET SEMATARY on April 5, 2019.
