Sparks & Shadows is releasing tomorrow the digital soundtrack album of Bear McCreary’s original score for the slasher thriller HELL FEST. The album features the film’s original score as well as tracks by Brendan McKian, John Massari, and Crisis Couture. Directed by Gregory Plotkin, a former editor with credits for GET OUT and many of the PARANORMAL ACTIVITY movies (his first directorial credit was for PARANORMAL ACTIVITY: THE GHOST DIMENSION), HELL FEST is about a masked serial killer who turns a horror themed amusement park into his own personal playground, terrorizing a group of friends while the rest of the patrons believe that it is all part of the show. The film opens this weekend from CBS Films/Lionsgate.
This website was created partly to promote the book series, Musique Fantastique [Second Edition] 100+ Years of Fantasy, Science Fiction & Horror Film Music by Randall D. Larson, but more importantly is intended to be a resource for news, views, & interviews about music for science fiction, fantasy, and horror films. As an extension of the books, it provides additional material and links to further resources about this unique genre of film and television scoring.
