Lakeshore Records will release two albums for the ‘80s-flavored zom-com DEAD SHACK , by Canadian indie-electronic duo HUMANS (aka DEAD SHACK director Peter Ricq and partner Robbie Slade): an Original Motion Picture Soundtrack album containing the band’s instrumental score and a “teaser” Music From The Original Motion Picture EP, consisting of songs and remixes (originally released last Halloween exclusively on Bandcamp). Both albums will be available digitally worldwide on Friday, February 16.
XYZ Films presents DEAD SHACK: While staying at a run-down cabin in the woods during the weekend, three children must save their parents from the neighbor who intends to feed them to her un-dead family. The film was released to the film festival circuit in 2017, premiering at Sitges (the International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia), and moving on to NIFFF, Fantasia, VIFF, and Morbido Film Festivals. It makes its official online debut tomorrow Feb 15, when it debuts exclusively on the horror streaming platform, Shudder.
HUMANS is a Canadian indie-electronic duo which have established themselves by creating sounds that successfully fuse experimental electronic elements with catchy indie-pop hooks. Focusing on performance and production styles of both the past and present, HUMANS have consistently impressed upon audiophiles with their technical and compositional skills. Using a combination of synthesizers and instruments, the sound has a certain way of being very unique, while not tied down to one specific genre.
