Australian Zombie Sci-Fi WYRMWOOD: APOCALYPSE Soundtrack Released – Music by Michael Lira
VHM has released a soundtrack album for the Australian post-apocalyptic movie WYRMWOOD: APOCALYPSE. The film is a sequel to 2014’s WYRMWOOD: ROAD OF THE DEAD, which was directed by Kiah Roache-Turner, about a mechanic who prepares to battle his way through hordes of flesh-eating monsters after his sister is kidnapped on the eve of a zombie apocalypse. Roache-Turner has directed the new sequel, which stars Luke McKenzie, Nicholas Boshier, Shantae Barnes-Cowan, Tasia Zalar and Bianca Bradey and follows soldier Rhys on an arc of redemption as he turns against his evil bosses to join forces with a group of rebel survivors. Together they help save a little girl’s sister from death at the hands of the military. The film was released in Australian theaters earlier this year and just made its VOD debut in the U.S. earlier this month. The sequel will also be released on Blu-ray and DVD on May 17.
The soundtrack album features the film’s original music composed by Michael Lira, who scored the previous WYRMWOOD movie as well as such genre films as THE HUNTER, NEKROTRONIC, BLACK WATER: ABYSS. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services.
