Irish Vampire Comedy BOYS FROM COUNTY HELL Scored by Steve Lynch – Soundtrack Releasing Friday

Swedish soundtrack label MovieScore Media will release a soundtrack album for the Irish horror comedy BOYS FROM COUNTY HELL on Friday, December 17. The album features the film’s original music composed by Steve Lynch (LET US PREY, SAVING THE TITANIC, DOMINION CREEK). The film is written and directed by Chris Baugh who also co-wrote the film with Brendan Mullin, expanding on a previous short film of the same name. The picture stars Jack Rowan, Nigel O’Neill, Louisa Harland, Michael Hough, Fra Fee and John Lynch.

Set in Six Mile Hill, a fictional backwater town whose only claim to fame is that Bram Stoker stayed there once and perhaps based Dracula on the local legend of Abhartach. When the real Abhartach is awakened after the cairn over his remains is demolished due to the preparation for bypass already unpopular with the locals, the construction team that demolished the cairn must set out to make it right.

The film premiered at last year’s Tribeca Film Festival and made its streaming debut in the U.S. earlier this year on Shudder. “Steve Lynch provided us with an amazing score that hit every emotional and horror beat in ways that went beyond expectations,” said director Chris Baugh in an interview with Kevin Hoover at Rue Morgue.

For more information on composer Steve Lynch see his web site, here.

The soundtrack will be available on Friday at MovieScore Media.
