Composer Bear McCreary (GODZILLA KING OF THE MONSTERS, HAPPY DEATH DAY, THE WALKING DEAD, MARVEL’S AGENTS OF SHIELD) has announced that he is now sharing screen credits with two long-standing members of his Sparks and Shadows music production team. “Sam Ewing now officially co-composes with me on The Walking Dead, and Jason Akers on Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD,” McCreary said in a Facebook post shared yesterday. “I’ve been fortunate to work with and mentor Jason and Sam (they both began as interns!) over the last few years, and they’ve proven themselves time and again to be capable, creative, dedicated artists. They’ve contributed substantial musical voices to these respective series for years. I’m proud to see their names alongside my own, and I am certain these credits will be the first of many for both of them.”

Ewing and Akers jointly composed the score for Adam Green’s 2017 slasher comedy VICTOR CROWLEY, the fourth entry in the HATCHET horror franchise (currently showing on HBO), the 30-minute short film TOM CLANCY’S GHOST RECON WILDLANDS: WAR WITHIN THE CARTEL (2017), an offshoot of the Ubisoft tactical shooter video game of the first title, and the 2017-2018 Emmy-nominated web series THE WALKING DEAD: RED MACHETE.

Congrats to both Sam Ewing and Jason Akers!
