Silva Screen Music has announced that their new album “The GAME OF THRONES Symphony” will be released in digital format on February 24th.  A physical CD version is also in the works, according to Silva Screen, but no date has yet been announced.

The album contains 21 newly recorded tracks with the renowned 85 piece City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra (and choir), which gives the music of series composer Ramin Djawadi an especially expansive dimensionality.

Check out the live recording of one of those tracks, “Light of the Seven,” below.

This cue was used in the opening minutes of  GAME OF THRONES’ sixth season finale, during which on Cersei obliterated her enemies with fluorescent fire, a plot that slowly unfolds over the course of 10 tense minutes, in which this music set much of the mood and atmosphere of foreboding.
