Disney World’s PANDORA: WORLD OF AVATAR Soundtrack Released Today – Featuring James Horner & Simon Franglen music

pandora ride ostWalt Disney Records has released a soundtrack album for Walt Disney World’s themed area Pandora: The World of Avatar. The album features the music for the Pandora area attractions, written by James Horner and Simon Franglen, former arranger and score producer for Horner, who completed the score for THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN after Horner’s death and has gone on to score other movies like PEPPERMINT and the Imax film VOYAGE OF TIME). The music is based on Horner’s original AVATAR film score.

Pandora – The World of Avatar is inspired by James Cameron’s AVATAR movie. The area opened in 2017 and is located within Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park at the Walt Disney World Resort in, Florida. Set a generation after the events of the Avatar movie, the area is based upon the fictional exoplanetary moon, Pandora, and features Pandora’s floating mountains, alien wildlife, and bioluminescent plants. Spanning 12 acres, Pandora – The World of Avatar includes two major attractions, Avatar Flight of Passage and Na’vi River Journey, as well as retail and dining outlets.
