Milan Records Releases SF Thriller CODE 8 Soundtrack by Ryan Taubert

CODE 8 is a Canadian science fiction thriller film directed by Jeff Chan, who shares writing credits with Chris Pare; the movie is a sequel to Chan’s 2016 short film of the same name.
The film is set in a world where 4% of the population are born with some type of supernatural ability; but instead of being superheroes, they are heavily policed and live in poverty. Robbie Amell (The CW’s THE TOMORROW PEOPLE, Firestorm on THE FLASH) stars as Connor Reed, super-powered construction worker who falls in with a group of criminals in order to raise the funds to help his ill mother. The film also features Stephen Amell (The CW’s ARROW), Sun Kang (THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS film franchise) Greg Bryk (REGENESIS, XIII: THE SERIES, BITTEN), Peter Outerbridge (V-WARS, THE UMBRELLA ACADEMY, TV’s TAKEN), Kari Matchett (MAUDIE, TV’s COVERT AFFAIRS and LEVERAGE), and Laysla De Oliveira (IN THE TALL GRASS, THE GIFTED, NEEDLE IN A TIMESTACK).
The film’s score is composed by Ryan Taubert, an American-born producer and composer based out of Los Angeles, whose music has been featured in film, TV, advertising, and recording artist’s work. Through his production house, Endeavor Music. He has produced tracks for a variety of commercial clientele and others, and is known for the original soundtracks to SCORE: A FILM MUSIC DOCUMENTARY, directed by Matt Schrader, and its spinoff SCORE: THE PODCAST, as well as AMERICAN EXIT and the biopic podcast series BLOCKBUSTER, for Epicleff Media.
Premiering at the Sitges Film Festival last October 3, CODE 8 had its North American theatrical release on December 13, 2019 through XYZ Films and on VOD from Vertical Entertainment.
