Penka Kouneva’s Soundtrack for Sci-Fi Film ENCOUNTER Announced
Notefornote Music announces the CD release of Penka Kouneva’s score for the science fiction film, ENCOUNTER.
Directed by Paul Salamoff (2015’s THE LAST BREATH…) and starring Luke Hemsworth, the film tells the story of a group of friends who uncover an otherworldly object in a rural field, which they soon discover holds greater secrets than they could imagine.
ENCOUNTER premieres October 1st on blu-ray and all digital on demand platforms.
Award-winning game and film composer Penka Kouneva began her career in film/TV in 2000. She composed on the PRINCE OF PERSIA: FORGOTTEN SANDS, TRANSFORMERS: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN games (themes by Steve Jablonsky) and is co-composing the CW’s science fiction/action series, PANDORA with Joe Kraemer. Penka’s solo composing credits include the indie features ÁGA, THE DEVIL’S WHISPER, PRIMROSE LANE, MIDNIGHT MOVIE, and telefilms ICE SPIDERS, CHUPACABRA, NUCLEAR HURRICANE. Recently, Penka scored the award-winning PS4 game Rollers of the Realm, H-Hour: World’s Elite on STEAM, the iOS games Intense Life, Galaxy, IronKill, and others. She has released four orchestral concept albums, A Warrior’s Odyssey. The Woman Astronaut, Rebirth Of Id, and Invisible Lifeline, and has been an orchestrator and lead orchestrator on numerous film and game franchises.
