Netflix Live Action COWBOY BEBOP Is Scored by Yôko Kanno – Who Scored Original Anime Series

COWBOY BEBOP is an upcoming American science fiction streaming television series. It is a live-action adaptation of the Japanese anime series of the same name. The10-episode series is set to be developed by André Nemec, written by Christopher Yost, and stars John Cho, Mustafa Shakir, Daniella Pineda, Alex Hassell, and Elena Satine, and is about a ragtag crew of bounty hunters who chase down the galaxy’s most dangerous criminals. They’ll save the world – for the right price…

Yôko Kanno, who scored the original anime show, is the composer for the new series, and its original theme song, “Tank!” is retained as the series’ opening song. The song, written by Yôko Kanno and performed by Seatbelts, has an extensive alto saxophone solo played by Masato Honda, as well as a fill part at the end. The song is a big band jazz piece in a Latin-infused hard bop style with a rhythm section that combines a double bass and bongo drums.

The new COWBOY BEBOP It is scheduled to be released on November 19, 2021 on Netflix.
