SHERLOCK’s David Arnold & Michael Price Score BBC’s DRACULA series

BBC has broadcast their new DRACULA miniseries over three days beginning on January 1st, 2020.  Netflix will launch the show on their streaming site tonight, January 4th. The series consists of three episodes. Claes Bang stars as the title character, co-starring Dolly Wells as Sister Agatha Van Helsing, John Heffernan as Jonathan Harker, and Morfydd Clark as Mina Harker

Dracula premiered on 1 January 2020, and was broadcast over three consecutive days. Netflix launches the series Saturday Jan 4th.

The show was developed and written by Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat, known for their work on the BBC’s DOCTOR WHO and SHERLOCK series. DRACULA is said to follow vampire Count from his origins in Eastern Europe to his battles with Van Helsing’s descendants and beyond. According to the Netflix description “The Count Dracula legend transforms with new tales that flesh out the vampire’s gory crimes — and bring his vulnerability into the light.”

Composers David Arnold and Michael Price, who created the innovative theme and scores for the Benedict Cumberbatch SHERLOCK series, scored the title theme and episode music for the DRACULA series.
