Joseph Trapanese to Score THE WITCHER Season 2

Joseph Trapanese (PRISONERS OF THE GHOSTLAND, SHADOW AND BONE, OBLIVION, THE RAID: REDEMPTION, TRON: UPRISING) is the new composer of the Netflix original series THE WITCHER. Sonya Belousova & Giona Ostinelli have composed the music for the first season of the series (read my previous reports on the series music here and here).

Trapanese has recently been scoring the second season of the show created by Lauren Schmidt Hissrich based on the book series by Andrzej Sapkowski and starring Henry Cavill, Freya Allan, Anya Chalotra, MyAnna Buring, and Mimî M Khayisa. Season 2 continues the story of Geralt of Rivia, a mutated monster-hunter for hire, as he journeys toward his destiny. The second season, consisting of eight episodes, is scheduled to be released on December 17, 2021 exclusively on Netflix. In September 2021, Netflix announced that the series had been renewed for a third season.
