Christopher Drake Scores THE MANOR
THE MANOR is an upcoming American horror film directed and written by Axelle Carolyn. Starring Barbara Hershey, Bruce Davison, Stacey Travis, Ciera Payton, Jill Larson and Mark Steger, the film has to do with Judith Albright who, after suffering a stroke, moves into a historic nursing home, where she begins to suspect something supernatural is preying on the residents. In order to escape, she’ll need to convince everyone around her that she doesn’t actually belong there after all. Jason Blum serves as a producer under his Blumhouse Television banner.
The film’s score has been composed by Christopher Drake, best known for scoring such animated superhero films as HELLBOY SWORD OF STORMS and BLOOD OF IRON, and the numerous films in the DC Universe Animated Original Movies, such as WONDER WOMAN (2009), BATMAN: UNDER THE RED HOOD (2010) and BATMAN THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS (2013). He’s also scored such live-action films as Kevin Smith’s YOGA HOSERS (2013) and TUSK (2014), Neil Marshal’s 2020 horror film THE RECKONING, most of the episodes of Greg Nicotero’s CREEPSHOW (2019+) series on Shudder, and the video games INJUSTICE: GODS AMONG US and INJUSTICE 2.
THE MANOR is scheduled to be released in the United States on October 8, 2021 by Amazon Studios, as the eighth installment in the anthological Welcome to the Blumhouse film series.
