Composer Ryan Shore’s Music Haunts BUCKOUT ROAD Thriller
In a new horror thriller coming out later this month, a college class project on creation and destruction of modern myth turns terrifying when a trio of young people comes to realize the urban legends surrounding the infamous Buckout Road of New York State may, in fact, be real.
After two years gaining traction on the festival circuit, THE CURSE OF BUCKOUT ROAD begins its theatrical and On Demand presentations later this month. The film is the directorial debut of actor Matthew Currie Holmes (DEMON LEGACY, HOUSE UNDER SIEGE, WRONG TURN 2: DEAD END) who also co-wrote the movie, which stars Evan Ross (THE HUNGER GAMES: MOCKINGJAY), Henry Czerny (READY OR NOT, MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE), Dominique Provost-Chalkley (WYNONNA EARP, AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON), Colm Feore (THE PRODIGY, THOR), and Danny Glover (the LETHAL WEAPON series, JUMANJI II: THE NEXT LEVEL).
The creepy thriller features a score by Ryan Shore (STAR WARS: GALAXY OF ADVENTURES, STAR WARS FORCES OF DESTINY, R. L. STINE’S MONSTERVILLE: CABINET OF SOULS, CABIN FEVER 2: SPRING FEVER). Shore has proven capable in scoring science fiction and horror topics for two decades, as well as memorable and effective scores in all genres. For more details on the composer see his website.
During its festival run during late 2017 and into 2018, THE CURSE OF BUCKOUT ROAD received numerous awards and accolades from the Hot Springs Horror Film Festival (Best Thriller Feature Film ), the Pasadena International Film Festival (Best Feature Film), Buffalo Dreams Fantastic Film Festival and Blood in The Snow Film Fest (both awarding it Best Feature Film and Best Screenplay).
The film is now set for release in selected theaters on September 27th through Vertical Entertainment, and as well as Video On Demand.
