Third Skyline Movie SKYLIN3S Releasing in December – Scored by Ram Khatabakhsh

British/Persian Los Angeles-based film composer Ram Khatabakhsh has written the music for SKYLIN3S, the third and final film of the science fiction series that began with SKYLINE (2010) and continued with BEYOND SKYLINE (2017). The new film is written and directed by Liam O’Donnell (who co-produced all three of the SKYLINE movies), and stars Lindsey Morgan, Rhona Mitra, and Alexander Siddig. This third film is about a virus that threatens to turn the now earth-dwelling friendly alien hybrids against humans, prompting Captain Rose Corley must lead a team of elite mercenaries on a mission to the alien world in order to save what’s left of humanity.
Ram Khatabakhsh has been active in film music since 2008 when he wrote the music for a short British film called LANGUAGE IS MUSIC. In 2010 he scored a horror film called CUT, about five friends staying in a cottage in the woods who ignore local English urban legends, to their dismay. He went on to score short films, documentaries, television, trailers (THE DEAD 2: INDIA), was assistant orchestrator on DRACULA: UNTOLD, KINGSMEN: THE SECRET SERVICE, and CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR.
In 2011 Ram scored THE FIFTH HORSEMAN, which was nominated for an Emmy Award in 2012 for the Best Drama, the multi-award winning short documentary PIRACY: THE HUMAN COST. In 2013 he was selected by “The Mill” from dozens of composers to score a £2.3million corporate video for Riyadh Metro System and later that same year he was selected, out of thousands, to attend the prestigious Berlinale Talents 2014 as part of Composers and Sound designer’s selection. He also scored the 2015 Western adventure drama, WESTERN RELIGION, and the same year composed the cultural drama BEN & ARA.
Ram served as additional music editor and additional music composer for BEYOND SKYLINE in 2017. In 2018 he composed the music for the genre-bending science fiction/horror anthology PORTALS (directed by SKYLIN3S’ Liam O’Donnell) and the TRANSFORMERS: AUTOBOTS ALLIANCE animated short exhibited at the interactive experience of the same name that opened in Chongqing, China in 2018. He is currently scheduled to write the music for ALPHAS, which pits a fearsome great white shark against a deadly killer whale in a battle of aquatic apex predators, and is listed as still in pre-production.
SKYLIN3S is set to be released on December 18, 2020 in the United States by Vertical Entertainment.
