TREMORS 7 to be Scored by Frederik Wiedmann
Having scored the fifth and sixth iterations of the TREMORS franchise, Frederik Wiedmann comfortably returns to the world of the Graboids in TREMORS 7, formerly aka TREMORS: ISLAND FURY but now officially titled TREMORS: SHRIEKER ISLAND. Filming began in Thailand last November 26, 2019, with Michael Gross, Jon Heder, Jackie Cruz, and Richard Brake starring. Filming wrapped December 12th, and the film is now scheduled to be released direct-to-video in October 2020. TREMORS: A COLD DAY IN HELL director Don Michael Paul helms SHRIEKER ISLAND from a script by Brian Brightly. The new film sees the return of the deadly Graboids, but this time they are illegally brought in to a new island resort by a rich playboy looking for a trophy hunt.
The prolific composer Frederik Wiedmann continues to score films at a Graboids pace, having recently completed TALES FROM THE HOOD 3, JUSTICE LEAGUE: APOKALIPS WAR and SUPERMAN: RED SON for the DC Extended Universe, BULLETPROOF 2, and has been nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award for Music Direction and Composition for scoring the animated series THE DRAGON PRINCE.
