Amblin’s Revival of AMAZING STORIES TV Series Debuts March 6

AMAZING STORIES, Apple TV+’s highly anticipated original series, executive produced by Steven Spielberg, will make its global debut on Friday, March 6, exclusively on Apple TV+.

According to an Amblin press release issued today, this reimagining of the original anthology series will transport audiences to worlds of wonder through the lens of today’s most imaginative filmmakers, directors and writers.

The original series ran on NBC in the United States from September 29, 1985 to April 10, 1987. The series title licensed the name of Amazing Stories, the first dedicated science fiction magazine created by Hugo Gernsback in April of 1926.

The theme for the 1985 AMAZING STORIES was composed by John Williams; there has been no word yet if the new series will revive his theme or not. Thus far the episode composers for the new show are Brandon Campbell, (SLENDER MAN, THE THINNING, FATAL CROSSING), Ramin Djawadi (GAME OF THRONES, WESTWORLD), Nicholas Pike (THE SHINING [1997], MASTERS OF HORROR, SLEEPWALKERS, CRITTERS 2), and Noah Sorota (FALLING SKIES, SIGMUND AND THE SEA MONSTERS, JINN), with Justin Caine Burnett (9-1-1: LONE STAR, RE-KILL, CRAVE) credited for additional music.
