Brian D’Oliveira Scores Netflix WITCHER Animated Fantasy
THE WITCHER: NIGHTMARE OF THE WOLF is an upcoming South Korean-American adult animated dark fantasy film for Netflix. It is directed by Kwang-Il Han and produced by Lauren Schmidt Hissrich (THE WITCHER, THE UMBRELLA ACADEMY, DAREDEVIL). The film serves as a spin-off of the Netflix series THE WITCHER. The film focuses on the origin story of Geralt’s mentor and fellow witcher Vesemir, a cocky young witcher who delights in slaying monsters for coin. When a dangerous new power rises on the Continent, Vesemir learns that some witchering jobs are about more than just money.
Brian D’Oliveira (SHADOW OF THE TOMB RAIDER, RESIDENT EVIL VII: BIOHAZARD video game, GENTEFIED, JOURNEY TO THE SAVAGE PLANET) has composed the original score for the film. A soundtrack album featuring D’Oliveira’s score will be announced soon.
The film is scheduled to premiere on Netflix on August 23, 2021.
