Javier Navarrete scores Neil Jordan’s psychological horror thriller GRETA

Greta one sheetThe latest film from director Neil Jordan (BYZANTIUM, INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE, THE CRYING GAME, THE COMPANY OF WOLVES) is the thriller GRETA, based on a story and screenplay by Ray Wright. Zawe Ashton, Chloë Grace Moretz, Isabelle Huppert, Maika Monroe, Colm Feore, and Stephen Rea star in a harrowing tale of obsession and deception. Moretz plays a young woman who befriends a lonely widow who’s harboring a dark and deadly agenda towards her.

The film score has been composed by Javier Navarrete (PAN’S LABYRINTH, THE DEVIL’S BACKBONE, WRATH OF THE TITANS), who scored Jordan’s previous vampire film BYZANTIUM (2012). In addition to an Oscar nomination for Guillermo del Toro’s  PAN’S LABYRINTH (2006), Navarrete won an Emmy for his score to the TV film HEMINGWAY & GELLHORN (2012).

GRETA (originally entitled THE WIDOW) premiered at last year’s Toronto Film Festival; it opens nationally through Focus Features on March 1st in the USA.
