MASQUERADE: Ben Lovett Scores New Thriller with Shocking Twist Ending

MASQUERADE is a tense 2021 American thriller, written and directed by Shane Dax Taylor (ISOLATION, BLOODWORTH, THE GREY). It stars Bella Thorne, Alyvia Alyn Lind, Austin Nichols, Mircea Monroe and Skyler Samuels. Synopsis: Eleven-year-old Casey (Lind) is home alone — until a group of intruders, led by Rose (Thorne), breaks in. They plan to steal her family’s priceless collection of artworks, but their reckless ambition is outmatched only by Rose’s opportunism. As the stakes grow even higher, Casey now finds herself in a fight for her life as the invaders prove they’ll stop at nothing to get what they want until a shocking twist ending…

The film’s score has been composed by Ben Lovett, an American composer and songwriter known for his distinctive original scores to a diverse range of breakthrough films including the Netflix original THE RITUAL and the Searchlight Pictures thriller THE NIGHT HOUSE from director David Bruckner; Jim Cummings’ tragicomedy THE WOLF OF SNOW HOLLOW from Orion Classics; Amy Seimetz’s award-winning noir SUN DON’T SHINE; Emma Tammi’s haunted western THE WIND; Katie Aselton’s survival thriller BLACK ROCK; and Jacob Gentry’s time travel noir SYNCHRONICITY which earned Ben a nomination for Discovery of the Year at the prestigious World Soundtrack Awards. There’s been no word yet on a soundtrack release. For more information on the composer, see https://www.benlovett.com/.

The film was released today by Shout! Studios on digital, demand, and in select theaters.
