THE FOREVER PURGE trailer released – score by The Newton Brothers

Vaulting from the record-shattering success of 2018’s THE FIRST PURGE, Blumhouse’s infamous terror franchise hurtles into innovative new territory as members of an underground movement, no longer satisfied with one annual night of anarchy and murder, decide to overtake America through an unending campaign of mayhem and massacre. No one is safe.

From a screenplay by franchise creator James DeMonaco, the latest survival-horror thriller THE FOREVER PURGE is directed by Everardo Gout, writer-director of the award-winning thriller DAYS OF GRACE. The film is produced by the franchise’s founding producers: Jason Blum for his Blumhouse Productions; Platinum Dunes partners Michael Bay, Andrew Form and Brad Fuller; and Man in a Tree duo James DeMonaco and his longtime producing partner Sébastien K. Lemercier. Universal Pictures releases the film to theaters on July 2nd.

The score for this latest PURGE saga is by genre favorites The Newton Brothers (DOCTOR SLEEP, THE HAUNTING OF BLY MANOR, EXTINCTION, THE WALKING DEAD: WORLD BEYOND), which is their first music for this franchise. They previously scored OUIJA: ORIGIN OF EVIL, FAMILY BLOOD, and an episode of INTO THE DARK for Blumhouse. The first three films – THE PURGE (2013), THE PURGE ANARCHY (2016), and THE PURGE ELECTION YEAR (2016) were scored by Nathan Whitehead; while Kevin Lax scored THE FIRST PURGE (2018) and Tyler Bates scored the two-season, 20-episode THE PURGE TV SERIES (2018-19).
