Disney’s JUNGLE CRUISE Trailer Released – James Newton Howard Scoring – Release Date Not Till July 2020
Eight-time Oscar nominee James Newton Howard (FANTASTIC BEASTS AND WHERE TO FIND THEM, MALEFICENT, THE DARK KNIGHT, DEVIL’S ADVOCATE, SIXTH SENSE) is scoring Disney’s upcoming supernaturally-overtoned action adventure movie, JUNGLE CRUISE, based on the Disney theme park attraction of the same name. The movie follows a boat captain who takes a scientist and her brother on a mission into a jungle to find the Tree of Life, which is believed to possess healing powers. All the while, the trio must fight against dangerous wild animals and a competing German expedition.
The film is directed by Jaume Collet-Serra (THE SHALLOWS, ORPHAN, the Liam Neeson action films THE COMMUTER, NON-STOP, and UNKNOWN) and stars Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt. The film is set to be released on July 24, 2020 by Walt Disney Pictures.
