Trailer Released for HAPPY DEATH DAY 2U – Bear McCreary On Board for Music

Jessica Rothe Screams in Happy Death Day2

The sequel to last year’s hit “feel-good slasher movie” HAPPY DEATH DAY [some might HappyDeathDay2U postercall it aka GROUNDHOG DAY MEETS SCREAM) has released its trailer and it looks like cast and crew have turned out another winner, with a twisted take on the original story and another terrific performance from Jessica Rothe (pictured, above) as the last-girl-dying, again and again and again. But this time she’s got company, as the time loop from the first movie has gotten passed on to one of their friends and everyone finds themselves in another race against time to determine the cause. Along with Rothe, Israel Broussard, Phi Vu, Ruby Modine & Rachel Matthews return in reprising their roles from the first movie along with newcomers to the franchise Suraj Sharma and Sarah Yarkin. Jason Blum (GET OUTTHE PURGEPARANORMAL ACTIVITYINSIDIOUS) is producing the project through his Blumhouse production company. Bear McCreary has also returned to score the film, which is great news since his score for the first movie was intensively excellent and full of inventive sounds of intensive spookery. The sequel film is slated for released on Valentines Day, 2019 from Universal Pictures.
