Tom Holkenborg to score TERMINATOR: DARK FATE
Junkie XL (aka Tom Holkenborg; MAD MAX FURY ROAD, TOMB RAIDER, THE DARK TOWER, DEADPOOL) has been confirmed to score TERMINATOR: DARK FATE. The new film in the Terminator franchise is directed by Tim Miller (DEADPOOL, LOVE+DEATH+ ROBOTS “Ice Age”) with a screenplay written by David S. Goyer. The film’s story was conceived by Miller and series co-creator James Cameron, with the latter also serving as a producer alongside David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Don Granger. It will be the sixth installment in the Terminator franchise and serves as a direct sequel to THE TERMINATOR and TERMINATOR 2: JUDGMENT DAY, disregarding all other Terminator works as occurring in alternate timelines
The film is the first TERMINATOR movie to feature original star Linda Hamilton as Sarah Connor since T2. Arnold Schwarzenegger is also back, with series newcomers including Natalia Reyes and Mackenzie Davis.
Scoring TERMINATOR: DARK FATE reunites Holkenborg with directed Tim Miller, whom he worked with on DEADPOOL. “It’s great to be working on another project with Tim,” Holkenborg said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter. “The original TERMINATORs were such iconic movies, and having James back as a producer with Tim directing is an amazing dream team. It’s going to be a fantastic movie to be part of.”
The film is scheduled to be released by Paramount Pictures in North America and by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures outside of North America on November 1, 2019.
