Michael Kramer to Score Disney’s LEGO STAR WARS TERRIFYING TALES

Disney has announced a brand new LEGO animated special called  LEGO STAR WARS TERRIFYING TALES, which premieres on Friday 1st October as a part of Disney+’s Hallowstream celebration. The all-new animated special from Lucasfilm and the LEGO Group continues the rich legacy of collaboration between Lucasfilm and the LEGO brand and is a seasonal celebration of the villainous dark side of the Star Wars galaxy – just in time for Halloween.

The show has been scored by Michael Kramer, a two-time Emmy nominated composer and multi-instrumentalist for film, television, and video games. A graduate of USC’s prestigious film scoring program, he currently scores the hit Cartoon Network TV series LEGO NINJAGO: MASTERS OF SPINJITSU, for which he received a 2020 Emmy Award nomination. At almost ten years and counting, the show is the network’s longest running animated program and airs in more than 30 countries. In 2019, Disney Imagineering recruited Michael to write and produce several new tracks for STAR WARS: GALAXY’S EDGE, the highly anticipated new land in both Disneyland and Disney World.

Playing in the Oga’s Cantina attraction, one of his featured tracks is a follow up to the iconic “Cantina Song” from the original STAR WARS film. Kramer is also known for scoring numerous Disney-related shorts and shows, including DISNEY GALLERY: THE MANDALORIAN, THE LEGO STAR WARS HOLIDAY SPECIAL, LEGO STAR WARS: ALL-STARS. He’s also composed additional music for composer Brian Tyler’s scores for such notable feature films as THOR: THE DARK WORLD, FURIOUS 7, TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES, and the ASSASSIN’S  CREED IV: BLACK FLAG video game.

David Shayne is writer and executive producer, and the director is Ken Cunningham. James Waugh, Josh Rimes, Jacqui Lopez, Jill Wilfert, Keith Malone and Jason Cosler are executive producers.

Synopsis: After the events of THE RISE OF SKYWALKER, Dean, Poe, and BB-8 must face their fears, stop an ancient evil from rising, and escape to make it back to their friends. (Spoiler: The episodes aren’t really terrifying, but I’ll bet they are lots of fun! -rdl).
