Watch JURASSIC WORLD: BATTLE AT BIG ROCK Here – Features Engaging Score by Amie Doherty

Set one year after the events of JURASSIC WORLD: FALLEN KINGDOM, BATTLE AT BIG ROCK is the first live-action short film in the JURASSIC WORLD franchise. Potently exciting and a bit scary, the eight-minute film involves a family on a camping trip at the fictional Big Rock National Park in northern California, some 20 miles from where the dinosaurs were let loose at the end of 2018’s FALLEN KINGDOM.
Directed by Colin Trevorrow (JURASSIC WORLD, THE BOOK OF HENRY, JURASSIC WORLD 3), who also co-wrote the short with Emily Carmichael (PACIFIC RIM: UPRISING, LUMBERJANES, JURASSIC WORLD 3). The film stars André Holland (CASTLE ROCK, AMERICAN HORROR STORY: ROANOKE, SELMA, MOONILIGHT), Natalie Martinez (DEATH RACE, FROM DUSK TILL DAWN: THE SERIES, THE I-LAND), and newcomers Melody Hurd, and Pierson Salvador.
Irish composer Amie Doherty composed the music for BATTLE AT BIG ROCK, which features references to the franchise’s themes by John Williams and Michael Giacchino. Doherty also recently scored the science fiction animated series UNDONE, which premiered last week on Amazon Prime. “The music [is] fantastic,” said director Trevorrow in an interview with Collider. “The way she’s incorporated themes from Williams and Giacchino into her own work is pretty ingenious. She’s going to have a spectacular career, I’m just glad I got to collaborate with her at this moment.” Doherty recorded her score with a large orchestra at London’s Abbey Road.
A second project film in the JURASSIC WORLD, a CGI-animated series entitled JURASSIC WORLD: CAMP CRETACEOUS is scheduled to debut on Netflix in 2020, with the feature film JURASSIC WORLD 3 (official title not yet determined) coming in 2021.
